Womens Club Holds 2011 Banquet On May 23, 2011, the Womens Club met at Catfish Junction to congratulate the members for their efforts since last October to raise money for its scholarship fund. The Founders Day Cake Walk and the Spring Yard Sale brought in over $1,000 to continue giving scholarships to deserving young people. Kayla Skipper was this years award winner.
Founded November 14, 1946 and affiliated with the Alabama Federation of Womens Clubs (organized at Birmingham in 1895) and with the General Federation of Women's Clubs (organized at New York City in 1890). The Motto: Aim of the Club: The members of The Womens Club of Chickasaw are busy even today in projects and programs in the Departments of Art, Conservation, Education, Home Life, International Affairs and Public Affairs. Members keep abreast of needs in these areas and put their efforts together to meet these needs. The Club's aim today is to continue the commitment to progress made in 1946 on into the 21st Century.
