2010 Spring Events

The following activities and classes are offered for the enjoyment of Chickasaw residents and their families. We are offering a wide range of activities for all ages, which we hope will meet the recreational needs of the community.

Fees: Class fees are kept to a minimum. No refunds will be considered after the second meeting.

Register: You may register for any activity at the Chickasaw Civic Center. To register by telephone please call 452-6466. Register early to ensure your place.

Chickasaw Girls Softball

Girls can begin registration now. Chickasaw Civic Center 452-6466. All interested in coaching please let us know. Ages 5-17

Chickasaw Baseball Registration

Youth Disc Golf Class
Ages 12-18
Class to instruct basic to advance Disc Golf skills-will include scoring, throwing techniques and tournament play strategy.
Wednesdays 3:30-5:00pm

Chickasaw Karate Classes for Young and Older
Self defense and karate classes are taught on Tuesday and Thursday. Visit a class or call 452-6466 for further details.
Time: 5:30-7:00pm Place: Chickasaw Civic Center

Tumbling, Jazz and Hip Hop Classes for Boys and Girls

Students will learn the many skills of Tumbling, Jazz and Hip Hop. Skills include developing balance, flexibility, endurance and body strength. Come join in on the fun.
Class begins February 9 and 11 6 week session
Tuesdays Ages 6-8 3:30-4:30

Thursday Ages 9 and Up 3:30-4:30

Half Day Mardi Gras Camp Celebration

Children will partake in a fun filled half day celebration including a movie, cookie making, arts n crafts and refreshments.

Women’s Exercise Class
A fitness program designed to promote cardiovascular fitness, Tone and tighten muscles and aid in weight loss.

Ballroom Dance Class

This class is for couples and singles ages 16 and up who want to become confident in basic patterns of the Waltz, Fox Trot, Swing, Rumba and other dances. This is a fun time and great fellowship.

Learn to Crochet

Offering a basic crochet class in February.

Basic Computer Class

Income Tax Preparation for Senior Adults and Low Income Families

The RSVP of Mobile County will prepare simple Tax returns for qualified persons. Please contact RSVP at 574-7787 to schedule appointment.

Every January the Chickasaw Kiwanis Club has a charity Disc Golf Tournament that brings in players from as far away as Missouri and Virginia. The proceeds from this event are donated to the Women's and Children's Hospital in Mobile. In the past few years over $30,000. has been given to that charity.
