We are offering a wide range of activities for all ages, which we hope will meet the recreational needs of the community. Fees: Class fees are kept to a minimum. No refunds will be considered after the second meeting. Registration: You may register for any activity at Charles E. McConnell Civic Center. To register by telephone please call 452-6462. Register early to ensure your place. If you would like to see something special offered through the Recreation Department, please call Kathy Couey 452-6467. Fun things to do when you’re Broke or just want Fun Time Start or join a Club Get a few friends together for a monthly session of talking, learning and growing. A few possibilities: A book club, a money club, an exercise club or maybe a coupon club. The list goes on and on. Call Kathy 452-6467 for assistance. Tax Preparation for Senior Adults and Low Income Families The RSVP of Mobile County will prepare simple Tax returns for qualified persons/must not have income over $50,000. Please contact RSVP at 574-7787 to schedule appointment. Must schedule appointments through RSVP. Do not call Civic Center to Service will begin February 7-April 10, location Civic Center. Interested in GED Classes Getting your Alabama General Education Development (GED) credential is an important move in securing a successful future or accomplishing a life long dream. Please call Kathy at 452-6467 for details. We are working toward scheduling a class in Chickasaw and need your input. Afterschool Fun Sign language class that makes learning a second language Fun! Children
will learn signs quickly and easily through activities, story time
and singing. There are many more benefits to signing with your child such
as enhanced communication skills, reduced frustration, improved reading skills,
and empowers any individual with special needs and may even boost IQ.
Educators find children are more likely to be fascinated and curious

Chickasaw. Come and join the Garden Club. Members are needed.
Meetings are held at the Chickasaw Civic Center. First Tuesday of
