Our office is pleased to provide OffenderWatch® for the citizens of Chickasaw. Chickasaw Receives Police-Fire Rescue Boat The Chickasaw public safety department has a new addition to their fleet – a police-fire rescue boat. The 27-foot aluminum hull boat is jet propelled, and was given to the department from the Military Surplus Equipment 1033 Program that donates vehicles and equipment to law enforcement entities. The boat came from the Red River Army Depot in Texarkana, Texas. Debuted at the July 4th community fireworks day at Brooks Park, the boat will be used for public safety and police patrol, as well as search and rescue and fire protection. “We are very proud that our department was chosen to receive this boat. It will be used to protect the waters around the city and the Port of Chickasaw,” said public safety Chief Mike Reynolds. The department will secure funding for the purchase of search and rescue equipment, and nozzle and fire pump equipment for the boat. A 12,000 lb. rating trailer to haul the boat is also needed. Training classes for department personnel will be conducted later this year.

Chickasaw Police Officers Receive Award for Outstanding Bravery Two Chickasaw police officers, Officer LaDonta Sullivan and Corporal Glen Wickell, were recognized as Outstanding Police Officers for the Quarter by the Chickasaw Kiwanis Club in July. These men coordinated efforts to stop a suicidal male individual from throwing himself into three lanes of traffic on Interstate-65 on April 29.
