Congressman Bonner Speaks to Chickasaw Kiwanis

Congressman Jo Bonner took time from his busy schedule to speak to the Chickasaw Kiwanis Club on Monday, March 1. He congratulated the club for the outstanding work that the small organization does in supporting the community projects.

In speaking about current legislation he talked about everything from the healthcare bill to the KC-45 Air Force tanker refueling project currently being put out to bid for the third time focusing on the pending healthcare bill.

The congressman pointed out that the Constitution was one page and that it offered much to our country while the pending house bill is 1,900 pages and does not offer much to the people. Bonner also reminded the audience that executives from the Air Force AND Boeing were still serving time in prison for the first round of corrupt pay-offs and bids in 2005. He commented that it looked as though the government has made it unfair for Northrup Grumman/ EADS to bid for the third time. Bonner said how "scary" the congress and senate have become when they totally ignored the 70% disfavor shown by the American public toward some of the pending bills.
